The best way to study a piece of art is to become a part of it. With my favorite model, it made things easier. The Milkmaid, sometimes called The Kitchen Maid, another painting by Johannes Vermeer

When I started to rummage the old paitings, certain works quickly emerged as favorites. Lady with an Ermine Painting by Leonardo da Vinci was one of them.

This painting was one of a series of paintings featuring young girls. It always reminds me of my daughter which was an avid reader of 5 year old. That's why we had this photo.

For children photography, I believe in simplicity - less is more.
No need of many decorations, what reveal from children's eyes are the most attractive feeling. It's innocent and natural. I love to capture that feeling with my lens.

Lockport NY is a place with history. Many of these stone buildings were built out of “Canal Stone”.
It is also a great place to get marries. I love Lockport and shoot wedding photos there!

Taking photos of toddlers is very difficult as every parent may know. They don’t sit still for anything, and certainly not for a photo. Even if they do stop moving, it’s hard to get them to look into the camera and get a good smile from a toddler just by asking for one.
What I do is to have the camera out and ready before sitting the toddler down because he/she may only stay there a moment or two – but even a few moments of stillness is better than running around like a crazy person snapping photos while calling to the kid to please just stop and look.
I would also give him/her something to look at, or let them see themselves inside the camera.

Without the professional photo gears, it's almost impossible to capture the fleeting moment.
